Make privacy and contact links discoverable without hiding them in a document

Important site information should be easy to locate. Add Privacy and Contact links to a visible footer or appropriate menu, and test them from the homepage, an article, and a tool page. Check that mobile visitors can open the menu and the link is not obscured by sticky bars or pop-ups. A policy page that exists but cannot be found is less useful to visitors.

Google requires publishers using its services to provide specific privacy disclosures; see its required content guidance. The page should reflect actual practices, not just a standard template. Keep contact details accurate and test forms while logged out.

Run SiteReadyScore to see whether these routes are publicly discoverable. Then manually test each link on mobile and desktop. The tool can flag public access; it cannot certify the disclosure’s completeness.
