Before and after: replace a copied directory description with verified details

Before: A directory page copies a provider’s sales description, lists a phone number, and adds an affiliate link. It does not explain who the provider serves, whether the information is current, or how the publisher selected the listing.

Review: The copied paragraph may be outdated and does not help visitors compare options. Check the provider’s official terms, confirm the contact route, and determine which facts can be verified. Google’s AdSense page-readiness guidance encourages unique, relevant content. Google Search’s spam policies warn about scaled pages with little original value; that is a separate Search policy, but it reinforces the need to add distinct substance.

After: The listing uses a short factual summary in the publisher’s words, states when it was checked, identifies the intended audience, links to official terms, and explains that eligibility must be confirmed with the provider. It discloses the affiliate relationship and describes the directory’s inclusion criteria. Claims that cannot be verified are removed.

Retest: Confirm that the official link works, the date is accurate, the disclosure is visible, and the entry can be compared with others. Do not claim the revised page is approved unless AdSense confirms it.

Use SiteReadyScore to identify directory pages that deserve this review. The tool can help find pages; it cannot verify providers or replace source research. Label this example as illustrative unless it documents an authorized real case.
