When a site behaves unexpectedly, visitors may not reach the content they intended to open. Test links, pop-ups, download buttons, browser back behavior, and any script that changes the page after loading. Google’s AdSense Program policies restrict behavior that interferes with navigation, including unwanted redirects or downloads. The account notice, if present, should guide which pages to examine.
Use a logged-out browser and repeat the journey from the original link. Record whether a new tab opens, where the redirect goes, and whether the visitor knowingly initiated a download. Example: “Download checklist” should not silently install an extension. Make the button label match the action, provide a clear cancellation route, and remove scripts you cannot identify.
Run SiteReadyScore to locate public pages where routes or access may need attention. Then reproduce each behavior yourself and compare it with Google’s current policy text. A readiness score cannot certify every script or clear private account enforcement.
