“Insufficient content” does not mean “add words everywhere”

Start by identifying which pages are incomplete, hard to navigate, or unable to fulfill their title’s promise. Google’s site-readiness guide points publishers toward unique, relevant content and good user experience; it does not set a universal word count. Review a representative mix of pages and document the visitor task each one should complete.

Example: A “compare fuel cards” page has 20 provider logos but no eligibility details, fees, sources, or method of comparison. Add verified distinctions and explain what readers must confirm with providers. Do not add generic background paragraphs simply to make the page longer. Combine pages when they repeat the same information, and finish or unpublish placeholder pages.

Use SiteReadyScore to prioritize URLs with observable content or structure signals. Open each one and decide whether the visitor’s question is actually answered. The scan can point to a page; it cannot make a thin page useful without evidence and editorial work.
