How to read an AdSense Policy Center notice

When a notice appears in Policy Center, record the exact wording, status, affected property, URLs, and any deadline or review option shown. Do not rely on a screenshot copied from another publisher because their notice may concern a different rule or site. Google’s publisher policy overview explains the difference between policies and restrictions; Google’s current account notice provides the case-specific details.

Open the cited policy section and compare it with the affected page. Review the full page, including comments, images, embeds, ads, and outbound links. If a policy violation is present, correct the issue across all affected pages, not just one sample URL. If the issue is a restriction rather than a violation, read the account instructions before removing content unnecessarily.

Example: A notice identifies a specific page but the owner only checks the homepage. The issue may be in an embedded video or user comment on the reported page. Open the affected URL logged out, inspect all visible elements, and keep a record of the correction and retest.

After the repair, follow the review or recheck options available in the account. Google’s site-status article explains how to check site status. Do not promise that an external scanner can see or clear a private Policy Center issue.

Use SiteReadyScore to supplement the public-page review and organize URLs, but rely on AdSense Policy Center for account enforcement. Keep the two evidence sources separate in your notes.
