Different status labels call for different actions. “Getting ready” may indicate that setup or review is incomplete; a policy notice requires reading the cited issue; an ads.txt alert concerns the seller file; a restriction concerns demand and is not necessarily a policy violation. Google’s site status guidance and policy/restriction overview explain these distinctions.
Before editing, copy the exact status and note where it appears. Open the linked help page or Policy Center and identify whether the action is account setup, technical repair, content change, or simply monitoring. Example: changing article titles will not fix a missing ads.txt record; editing ads.txt will not resolve a content policy notice.
Use SiteReadyScore for the public-site side of the diagnosis. Match its observable findings to the correct account status, and do not claim the scanner can read private notices. A correct classification saves time and avoids unnecessary site changes.
