Invalid traffic is a serious account issue. Publishers should not click their own ads, ask others to click them, or use traffic sources that generate artificial or misleading ad interactions. Do not reward users for clicking ads or use language such as “click ads to support us.” Google’s AdSense Program policies explain restrictions on encouraging ad clicks, and the publisher is responsible for traffic and site behavior.
If you see suspicious traffic, preserve analytics and campaign records, review the source, and stop traffic acquisition that appears fraudulent or incentivized. Check the account’s Policy Center and traffic messages for site-specific information. Do not attempt to identify or manipulate individual ad interactions. Follow Google’s official reporting and account processes rather than paying a third party that claims to “clean” clicks.
Example: A social post says, “Visit my site and click the ads to help me.” Remove that request and tell visitors that ads must be used only when genuinely relevant to them. If a traffic vendor cannot explain its source or sends bot-like sessions, pause the campaign and investigate before continuing.
SiteReadyScore focuses on public-site signals and is not an invalid-traffic detector. You can still use SiteReadyScore to review page and navigation readiness, but traffic quality must be investigated through analytics, AdSense reporting, and official guidance. Never interpret a readiness score as a clean bill of health for traffic.
