AdSense rejected a site for policy reasons: a careful response workflow

A policy rejection needs a different response from a vague content concern. Start with the exact AdSense account notice and open Policy Center if directed. Record the affected URLs and the named policy. Google’s Publisher Policies cover content, behavior, privacy, and other requirements. Its policy overview also clarifies that restrictions and policy violations are not the same status.

Inspect every affected page in its complete, logged-out state: article text, comments, images, embeds, related links, ads, and pop-ups. If the same material appears on multiple URLs, identify all copies. Do not delete large portions of a site until you understand the notice. A targeted, documented correction is easier to verify and less likely to create unrelated broken links.

Example: The notice concerns one article with a user-submitted comment linking to prohibited material. Removing or moderating the comment may resolve the public issue, but check whether similar comments appear elsewhere and improve the moderation process. Record the URL and retest it after the change.

Use SiteReadyScore to inventory public URLs and help prioritize page checks. It cannot access Policy Center, determine a private enforcement outcome, or request a review for you. Follow the instructions in AdSense once the correction is complete and check status there.
