How to perform a public-site readiness review without pretending to be Google

Audit dashboards, magnifier, and evidence cards representing a practical website readiness review.

A public-site audit can inspect what a normal visitor and crawler can reach. It cannot see the private contents of an AdSense account, identity verification, traffic quality, account history, or Google’s internal review signals. Begin by stating that scope. Google says it reviews the site for policy compliance and shows readiness status through the AdSense account; its site-not-ready instructions describe account-based review and common public-site problems.

Review three layers. Content: Does a representative set of pages answer a distinct visitor need, and are they complete? Experience: Can a visitor navigate, use the site on a phone, and reach important information without broken links, intrusive overlays, or confusing redirects? Technical access: Does the public site load securely and consistently, and can the pages you intend to submit be reached? Keep each observation attached to a URL and time because pages can change.

For example, rather than writing “Google will reject this site,” report: “On the date checked, the footer’s Contact link returned a 404 on the homepage and two article pages. Visitors may have difficulty reaching the contact information. Repair the link and recheck those URLs.” Evidence-based language helps the site owner act without overstating the auditor’s authority.

SiteReadyScore is designed to organize observable readiness findings and suggest what to inspect. Use its score as a summary of the checks it actually performs, not as a probability of approval. The owner should open the evidence page, confirm the issue, make the change, and then check the AdSense account for its own status.

Reproducible audit notes: Date and time; pages checked; device/browser; finding; evidence URL; severity rationale; suggested fix; recheck result. Publish anonymized case studies only with permission and remove identifying details where needed.
