AdSense says your site is not ready: what to review next
A “site not ready” notice is a prompt to check the specific status and information in your AdSense account. Do not assume a third-party scan can see the reason or override Google’s review. Start with the notice in AdSense, then use this checklist to investigate common areas.
Check that Google can reach the submitted site
Open the submitted URL in a private browser window. Confirm that the site does not show a maintenance page, login wall, redirect loop, certificate warning, or intermittent server error. Review robots directives and hosting access rules for important public pages. Use the same canonical domain you submitted.
Review content and visitor experience
Google’s public site-readiness guidance calls attention to unique content and clear navigation. Review the pages a visitor is likely to encounter first. Make sure they are complete, original, relevant to the audience, and easy to navigate. Improve pages that are mostly copied material, thin summaries, placeholder text, or empty templates. There is no automated word-count threshold that can prove a page is useful.
Read the exact policy or account notice
Check the AdSense policy center and the current Program policies. Resolve the specific issue shown there. If the notice concerns ad code or site connection, follow Google’s site not ready instructions and verify the code or ownership method on the right domain.
Check navigation, mobile, and technical signals
Repair important broken links, clarify menus and buttons, review intrusive overlays, and test forms on a phone. Check page speed with a browser-based tool; a simple response-time measurement is not a Core Web Vitals result. Review Search Console for indexing and crawl issues.
Fix, verify, and request review
- Write down the notice and the official source that explains it.
- Confirm the affected page or setting before making a change.
- Back up the site before larger technical changes.
- Verify the public result after clearing relevant caches.
- Request review in AdSense when the official account task is complete.
