AdSense site approval checklist
Preparing a website for AdSense means making it easy for people and reviewers to access the site, understand its purpose, use its navigation, and find content that is useful and original. This checklist helps organize that work. It does not reproduce every Google requirement or predict an approval result.
1. Confirm site access and ownership
Open the site in a private browser window and check that the submitted pages load without a login, maintenance screen, redirect loop, or temporary error. Confirm that you can edit the site HTML or use an accepted verification method. Check HTTPS, robots directives, canonical URLs, and any crawler blocks on key public pages.
2. Review original, useful content
Read the main pages from the visitor’s point of view. Does each page answer a clear need? Does it include information, instructions, examples, analysis, or experience that improves on a bare summary or copied listing? Check facts, update time-sensitive details, and review image and quotation rights. Word count by itself does not establish content quality.
3. Make navigation and page purpose clear
Use descriptive menu and link labels. Make important sections reachable and repair broken internal links. Check forms, mobile layouts, popups, and interactive features. Each page should make its subject and next step clear without misleading buttons or unfinished sections.
4. Publish accurate site information
Make publisher, contact, privacy, and commercial disclosures easy to find when relevant. Ensure disclosures match actual data collection, advertising, affiliate relationships, and contact methods. Google’s current policy and privacy instructions govern what is required for your setup.
5. Review policy and advertising risks
Read the current AdSense Program policies and address any account-specific notice in AdSense. Check claims, offers, user-generated content, traffic sources, ad placement, and privacy practices. Automated keyword flags can help prioritize a human review, but they cannot determine policy compliance.
6. Check technical experience
Measure key pages on mobile and desktop. Review server response time and Core Web Vitals with tools that can collect the relevant lab or field data. Check image sizes, caching, and third-party scripts. A single server-side request is not a full browser speed test.
7. Recheck and request review through Google
Fix verified issues, clear caches, and confirm that changes appear publicly. Use Search Console for indexing signals and your AdSense account for review status and account-specific tasks. Submit or request a review from AdSense only when your site is ready according to Google’s current instructions.
Important: There is no score or automated checklist that can guarantee AdSense approval. Google reviews the site and makes that decision. Start a scan with the independent AdSense readiness checker and use its evidence and detailed fix guides as a practical starting point.
